It is easy to install the Arduino Pro Micro board driver for Windows 7 using the documentation available on the Sparkfun website, and the USB connection works well with the Arduino IDE version 1.8.4. However, some users have faced issues with the micro USB connector being flaky and unstable, which prevented the USB output from working. The product is cheap but needs to be handled with care, and was not shipped in an ESD shielded bag which may shorten the product life. Some users did not have a good experience with this product and had difficulty troubleshooting configuration issues. Overall, the Sparkfun Pro Micro - 3.3V8MHz is a good quality product that has received mixed reviews.
