eleUniverse Computer Heatsinks 2W02 Editorial Review
The Raspberry Pi Zero 2W casing from eleUniverse is a well-Constructed aluminum case designed to provide passive cooling for the Raspberry Pi Zero and Pi Zero 2W models. Customers have praised its solid build quality, craftsmanship, and its sleek matte black anodised finish that not only adds aesthetic appeal but also enhances durability. The deep, evenly spaced fins on the case promote efficient heat dissipation, significantly lowering operating temperatures. Overall, users report a noticeable drop in temperatures, especially when running demanding applications or when the device is used continuously, such as for a Pi-hole or other server tasks. Many have observed a temperature decrease of at least 5 degrees Celsius—even achieving reductions of up to 10 degrees—which alleviates concerns about thermal throttling during extended use. Assembly appears straightforward, though some users have noted that the small screws can be a bit fiddly and might require careful handling during installation to avoid stripping. However, the provided assembly video helps mitigate such challenges. Moreover, the design retains accessibility to GPIO pins and various ports, making it highly functional for typical Raspberry Pi applications. While the included thermal pads are effective for most users, there are suggestions to Consider upgrading to higher quality thermal paste if extreme performance is required. On the downside, compatibility issues may arise with certain models, such as the Banana Pi M4 Zero, which users found did not fit well due to differences in port sizes. In summary, the eleUniverse aluminium case for the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W is highly regarded for its cooling capabilities, robust Construction, and ease of assembly, all while maintaining accessibility to the device's features. **
