Glory
Glory is a powerful and outstanding movie that depicts the story of a black unit during the Civil War. Despite being a "mighty whitey" film, the strength of the characters and the power of the story redeem it. The movie showcases the determination and bravery of uneducated men who were raised as slaves and faced neglect and hardship. The cast of the movie includes outstanding actors like Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington, and Andre Braugher. The ending of the movie where black and white soldiers were buried together portrays that in death, they'd finally become equal. It's a fantastic movie that keeps your attention and leaves you with a sense of triumph over injustice.
