HSM Shredders HSM2063 Editorial Review
The HSM SECURIO AF300 Cross-Cut Shredder is intended for high-volume shredding jobs and, in theory, should be able to handle up to 300 sheets at once. However, users have reported several issues with the autofeed tray and manual feed capability of the shredder. Firstly, the autofeed tray is too narrow to accept standard US paper sizes, meaning users must cut their sheets down to size before shredding. Secondly, the manual feed capacity is limited, and users have reported frequent jams with just 5-6 sheets of standard office paper. Additionally, while HSM claims the shredder can cut at a rate of 106.29 ft/min, users have experienced much slower speeds in practice. While some users have had positive experiences with customer service and the warranty department, others have received no response to their inquiries. One user reported difficulty contacting the company at all, as the email address listed on the product website and manual bounced back as no longer existing. Overall, while there are certainly aspects of the HSM SECURIO AF300 Cross-Cut Shredder that work well (such as its heavy-duty build and quiet operation), the issues with the autofeed and manual feed capabilities make it difficult to recommend for most users.
